 Lacy Wiley-  11 years of coaching experience-has coached at CYO grades 3-8, Wave VBC, and 3 years as the Freshman/JV2 VB coach at Glencoe HS. Played at Glencoe HS as a Middle Blocker and Right Side. Received Honorable Mention in the Metro League as a Middle Blocker. Was a 2 time All American NWAC Female Field Athlete. Lacy brings to us fundamental knowledge of the game, blocking technique, and the ability to develop players to reach a high level.

Ariel Usher At Glencoe HS, Ariel was first team in All-Around category for 4 years. She was a two time All-State Selection and was named the Northwest Oregon Conference (NWOC) Volleyball Player of the Year during both her junior and senior seasons. Usher was a conference all-around selection all four years and was voted the team’s Most Inspirational Player during her junior year. Ariel also played tennis and golf. She led her PVC team to the regional title and was an all-tournament selection at the Emerald City Classic Invitational- her team also went undefeated on its way to winning the Volleyball Festival, the nation’s largest girl’s tournament in Reno, Nevada. Ariel played at University of Portland where she is ranked 5th in all time kills in school history and was a 4 time All-WCC selection. She then went on to play professional volleyball for the past several years at Gislaved VBC in Sweden- she was the 2nd leading scorer in the league. In 2015, at Cignal HD she was voted best outside hitter in the league. In 2016, at Juncos VBC, she recorded a career high 41 points in a game. In 2016, Ariel went on and played for Foton, Phillipines and was voted second best outside hitter in the league. Her team went on to be the Champions of the Phillipine Super Liga. This is Ariel’s first year coaching for Wave, but has many years of coaching experience.


Lizzy Olsen   This is Lizzy’s 2nd year coaching with the 16’s team with Wave. In high school, she was the starting middle 3 years at Glencoe High School. She played middle blocker and all-around middle. She was co-captain her senior year under the director, Whitney Sahlfeld, and was recognized as the most positive and intense player. She played at various clubs in the area including Wave 16’s and 18’s. Lizzy graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology and minored in Chemistry. At her time in college she was a part of intramural grass and indoor volleyball teams. She is back in the area wanting to give back to the community while working and applies to physician assistant master programs. Lizzy believes that attitude is everything. She is very excited to return this season to coach bringing the same intensity and passion for the game.

Jondi Harris This is Jondi's second year with Wave.  Sports have always been a strong part of her life growing up the eldest of 4 siblings. Jondi was a multi sport athlete lettering in both volleyball and basketball in high school, where she attended Kapaa High School on the island of Kauai. Her favorite position is middle. She continued her education at Warner Pacific College on a scholarship to play both basketball and volleyball where she met her husband, who also played basketball for Warner. She graduated in 2013 with a degree in Business Administration and returned to Kauai where she coached boys JV volleyball for Kauai High School. Her family recently relocated back to Oregon. Aside from coaching at Wave, Jondi is also finished her first year as varisty head volleyball coach for Valor Christian.


  Anna Bond Anna has been playing or coaching for 3/4 of her life.  She was a starting varisty setter for 3 years in High School and played in college where the team was Regional Champions.  Experience in  indoor, sand and grass courts on teams with 2, 4 and 6 players, Anna has done it all.  She is currently playing on the Hillsboro Womens A League on a team called "Tidal Wave" which recently won 1st place this 2015 fall season.  Her passion is encouraging players to be healthy and assisting with the fine tuning  of each players skills to maximize performance.  "It is not always who hits the hardest- but often who plays the smartest that creates the successful outcome."  Anna is one of the founding board members for the Wave Volleyball Club and will be floating around to all teams to assist them.


Alex Roe  Alex recently graduated from Oregon State University. She started her volleyball career in 4th grade playing for CYO. She attended Glencoe High school and was the JV setter for two years before moving up to Varsity her Junior year as a defensive specialist. Alex is currently coaching CYO 8th grade volleyball for Valley Catholic. She is excited to continue to exercise her fundamental skills of coaching and volleyball into this coming club season.

Austin Tieu   Austin recently graduated from Oregon State University. He played four years for the OSU Men's Club Volleyball team which went to the NCVF National Tournament three out of those four years and winning Nationals in 2013. He also plays sand and grass and has played three years in men's A league at the Seaside Beach Volleyball Tournament. He currently coaches alongside Alex Roe for CYO and is excited to utilize his skills to help develop the players of Wave VBC.

Sharis Awa Sharis has 4 years of coaching experience. In high school she played 3 years at the varsity level for Glencoe High School as a setter and DS, under the direction of Whitney Sahlfeld. In her senior year she was co-captain and received 2nd team all league as a setter. She played for various clubs including the first Wave team formed in 2009. Sharis spent a year managing the Portland State volleyball team where she assisted with stats, filming, and at practices. Sharis brings her experience of technique when it comes to setting and defense. She is excited coach this season with Wave and to give back to the club and community she built so many memories with.

Kayla Miller  Kayla attended Glencoe High School where she was the starting libero her sophomore through senior year and earned Second Team League Honors under the direction of Whitney Sahlfeld. She attended OSU Cascades where she played club and intramural volleyball all four years. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Marketing and a Minor in Psychology. Since returning to the Hillsboro area, she has been passionate about finding a way to stay involved in volleyball and is extremely excited to be a Wave Coach this year!

Sarah Healy  Sarah graduated from the University of Portland in 2016. She has lived in the Portland Metro Area all her life and continues to be part of the community. Sarah began playing volleyball in 3rd grade for CYO and continued thru 8th grade. While playing volleyball Sarah focused on being a setter and defensive specialist. She also has experience playing competitive volleyball and was an original player for the first Wave volleyball team in 2009. This is her 2nd year back at Wave and she is looking forward to seeing the girls improve throughout the season and is ready to have some fun.
